About Elpis Impact

Expertise

Elpis Impact

Elpis means hope — chosen deliberately. Because we believe that how capital is deployed shapes the world we leave behind.

Elpis Impact is a strategic advisory firm for senior leaders in private companies who need more than generic ESG guidance. We deliver advice that's sharp, credible, and built around how consequential decisions are actually made — advice that stands up to scrutiny and drives real value creation.

Our edge

Since launching in March 2024, we've built an industry-leading position in responsible defence for private markets — a field where the stakes are high, the questions are complex, and rigorous counsel is rare. We bring deep, combined expertise across strategic consultancy, risk, defence, and investment that is genuinely hard to find in one place.

We work with clients across the full defence ecosystem — including AI and cyber — to define their risk appetite and build robust frameworks that enable confident investment decisions. The best decisions in defence aren't just smart. They're defensible.

Approach

Simon — Founder

Simon has spent 28 years as an executive-level sustainability leader across manufacturing, asset management, and consultancy. At EY and Baringa, he built sustainable business practices serving Financial Services and Private Markets clients — developing a commercial instinct for sustainable transformation that is the driving force behind Elpis Impact.

Dominic

Dominic's career tracks some of the most demanding environments in global business. A Chartered Accountant trained at KPMG, he has held senior sustainability and ethics roles in oil and gas and at Coca-Cola Enterprises, before becoming Global Head of Ethical Business at BAE Systems. There he chaired IFBEC and worked directly with the MoD, NATO, and defence sector primes on ethics initiatives that shaped industry standards.

Few people understand ethics, governance, and compliance risk in defence as deeply as Dominic does.

Client recommendation

Simon was a pleasure to work with, he brought a pragmatic, informed and commercial approach to thinking about sustainability related value creation.  He rolled his sleeves up and worked as part of the team to deliver practical insights. He used his network to deliver both on the record and off the record insights that were particularly useful.  I would highly recommend working with Elpis Impact.
